I was chewing on my lips while working as if something was going on in my head. Sitting on an armless computer chair, resting my arms on the computer table I was working on an excel sheet on computer system when my friend, Ashish called me for a tea break. Till that time, I could only hear the clicking sound of the mouse and the clacking sound of the keyboard I was working on. I looked at my watch and it was 3.30pm.
I said, “Yes, let’s go.” Ashish is one of my good friends, being there with me for the last 13 years, from the university days. Although I didn’t grimace at him, he could sense the blithe in my voice. He glanced at me and asked, “Is everything OK?”
At that moment my mind was cluttered with the thoughts about the letter. It was more about the person who could have sent me such an anonymous letter, rather than what was written in it. I couldn’t determine whether to reveal the details or not. I took a sip of the tea as I was thinking and and then replied with an obligatory smile, “Yes, bro. Everything is fine.”
“It felt like you were falling asleep at the wheel,” Ashish commented.
“I was tired, and feeling sleepy.” I explained.
Ashish agreed, “Yeah, tea was much needed.”
We both giggled and then had a chat on the upcoming movie, “RRR”.
By this time the tea cups were empty and we had to go back to our seats, where I had left my cell phone.
